As a follow-up to the successful completion of the ‘Resource Rent’ study in 2010, Framian presented the details of the bio-economic model Fishrent to the plenary meeting of the Scientific, Technical and Economic Committee on Fisheries (STECF), an advisory body to the European Commission. Within an international consortium headed by Spanish DevStat, Framian participates in an EU-wide project on ‘Monitoring of the implementation of national programmes for the collection, management and use of data in the fisheries sector’, in the position of Chief Technical Advisor.

In cooperation with Poseidon Aquatic Resource Management Ltd., Framian embarked on a study for the European Parliament regarding the ‘Characteristics of small-scale coastal fisheries in Europe’. The study will be completed in the summer of 2011.
